Release: Andy Nielsen Receives Overwhelming Endorsements at Kickoff Event

ANDY NIELSEN RECEIVES OVERWHELMING ENDORSEMENTS AT KICKOFF EVENT IN BID FOR INDY’S NEW 14TH DISTRICT


Indianapolis, IN—The campaign kickoff Friday night June 3 for Indianapolis City-County Council Candidate Andy Nielsen was attended by more than 130 community and neighborhood leaders throughout the Eastside.

Nielsen received a number of endorsements including:

Charles Miller, President, Warren Township Democratic Club:

“The 14th district needs a City-County Councillor who is present, engaged and involved in our community. Andy is all of those things, and he has the experience necessary to ensure the Eastside gets the resources and attention it deserves. I am proud to support Andy Nielsen in his campaign for the 14th District of the Indianapolis City-County Council.”

Nielsen gave the following statement after his kickoff event:


“I am grateful for the Eastside leaders’ trust in me and I’m excited to throw my name in the ring for Indy’s new 14th District,” he stated. “While we have a ways to go until Election Day for the Indy City-County Council, I am committed to doing the work to bring a new vision for success on the Eastside.”


Nielsen has hired veteran campaign adviser Lindsay Haake and campaign finance adviser Jud Brown. Nielsen will appear on the ballot in the May 2023 Democratic primary.
